New Book List Posted!




Mrs. Platt (NPES Literacy Coach / Interventionist) and I have created a book list with authors you may enjoy reading over the summer. It is posted on the library’s webpage. Take the list to the public library and read, read, read!

Don’t forget…keep your reading log from the public library in a safe place. I’ll ask you to bring it to school in August and that will be your ticket in to our summer reading celebration!

    Hi! I have a question. Do I have to use the log from the public library, or can a use a “home made” reading log? I’ve been reading lots of books at home, and even some chapter books! :o ) How many books/minutes do I need to read to be able to attend the celebration, or is the celebration only for attending the events at the public library?

    Hi Allie!

    That is an excellent question! A “home made” reading log is just fine – the public library programs are lots of fun, but if you have been doing a lot of reading at home, that’s great too! You do not have to read a certain amount of pages (or for a certain amount of time) to be invited to the celebration…as long as you bring in your reading log, you will be able to attend the celebration!
